HI there! I"m new to the board, I figured there would be no place better than here for this question.. and based on other posts and overall topics.. this looks like quite the cozy home! I tried finding a more appropriate spot to post this, but it seems pretty much anything goes once in the main OP list.. so.. here goes.. I've been meaning to figure out how to play "the sea", and yesterday's Toronto show re-motivated me to do it. Can anyone tell me if this is at all accurate? And any glaring errors? Sorry in advance.. as you can likely tell, I barely know the first thing about music theory/writing it, I play fiddle mostly by ear. I think I've gotten as far as a few bars into the singing, a couple of bars repeat, and then I think he shifts position.. which bites as I only know 1st. Fantastic motivation however... Well, it sure sounds pretty accurate (well, if you compare it with the sheet I have on my computer (which someone from the forum transcribed (I am not sure if it's Richie or Jason. =/))), there's a few errors at some places, and I am not really sure of the slurred notes thouh. They sound good at some places, but at other they do not. When you play the two notes together, It should be a C (third finger on the G string (yes, I said G-string =_=)) and a D (Open D), not two open strings. Right before you play the two notes together for a second time (on the first line), you should play an F instead of a G (Don't forget it's actually an F#  ) And there's only one sharp in the armour. The song sounds much better with natural C (believe me, I've tried) I am tempted to send you the sheets, but you are actually making a pretty good job. =D |

Wait sorry! I re-listened to the song! The repeated HighC part isn't right. My bad. ^_^
And yes, there's the "official Final Fantasy Violin Notes Thread". It's semi-official, actually. xD But most of theinks are dead, so our kind forumite Richie uploaded them in a folder. There's at least 10 songs that have been transcribed, if I'm not mistaken.

But yess I really did nothing, collected was all. I think I wrote out..two of those? And Yeah! Karp was the reason I made an account here! I'm pretty sure I included the side A to Dazzle ships on that upload-I'f not I have it, so if anyone wants it I'm happy to regurgitate karps wonders... also, that upload doesn't have the He Poos Clouds for solo violin which I wrote out and put up on the sheet thread afterwards.. |

Thank you SO MUCH for posting that! Of course, I havn't had time to do anything but glance at it since I got it, I left the next am and just got home. But wow and yea! And.. Heathen poet: Settlers?? pffft... C&K baby!! I just decided right now that I am going to start calling wheat Beer. Wheat beers are my fav. afterall Is there a gaming thread on here? I saw one.. but it looked more like electronic specific. .. anyone heard of asobrain.com? Cheers! |
