I want a lot of soap like that. So yeah, video's weird, but I like it? Well, it's better than The Butcher's video. awww, I liked the Butcher video! I like this too!

I liked The Butcher video too ! And yeah this video is mental but I liked it too. Personally, my dancing to LTOHS is a loving cross between soda-pop kitchen bopping and crawling around the bathroom floor.

Alison Pill is pretty up the ladder for an indie home-made-style music video, is she a friend/fan perhaps?

I really like this video! And watching it at 4am this morning whilst sick and feverish made the experience all the more unsettling and effective.

I can't decide if I like it. I think the problem I have is partly linked to me already having reasonably clear images in my head of what the song in the album look like (computer game like imagery with Lewis looking quite like Link). So even though I don't dislike the video it just feels kind of wrong to me. Also, it did kind of remind me of Island's last video with the whole cartoony graphics, Owen/Nick being godlike etc (this is the video I mean: www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTzA8XejLxE )

Oh man, if the wide-brim-hatted one is meant to represent Lewis, this takes on even MORE degrees of awesome.
God and his farmer, stacking soap.

Echoing dot, I had an idea of what to expect from a video for Lewis Takes Off His Shirt, though I wouldn't expect it to be just like that. This video - however - was something I don't have any intention of watching again. It was just stuff, knives and soap, and it meant nothing to me.

Aw come on guys. Owen's having fun! As much as we love the album he didn't mean to make it a Bible. He is enjoying himself and we should too!

Although in my head I always imagine Lewis riding toward Alpentine with Owen looking down upon him bored and disinterested, that would be a really boring video. It's quite limiting to only ever consider Heartland in terms of it's literal storyline. Firstly because it's an album not a fantasy novel for fuss-pot fans, and secondly because you risk alienating people that just want to enjoy the music but feel lost among the Zero Wing and Super Mario Bros. references.

I would've liked to see more Owen-sans-shirt, but you can't have everything.
The part with all the flashing pictures on the wall is almost exactly how I imagined the song beginning. I was really happy when I saw that.

I feel guilty (a little) for being so shallow... but I totally agree about the sans-shirt. I'll admit I rewound it a few times just at that part.
