Didn't see this here yet so I thought I should point you all to this gorgeous song (with a lovely story) put up on Said the Gramophone yesterday. www.saidthegramophone.com/archives/last_looks.phpThe album, which also features a song with Zac Pennington came out this week.

This post is particularly outstanding, but SaidtheGramophone is brilliant more often than not. I had a big fanboy crush on Sean, who does most of the writing for Daytrotter, when I started reading (he once sent me a postcard note about the Talking Heads from Amsterdam...), but Dan (the author of this post) is ridiculously charming. Facebook keeps suggesting I be friends with him, and all I can do is squeal.

That's one very, very beautiful song. And judging from the snippets Google found for me, this could be an interesting album to own... I'll add it to my Norman Records shopping cart right away.

Jules says "Maintenant" makes the cut, but has anyone else picked this album up who would like to offer some thoughts on it as a whole? I've been on the line about it since the release date; the cover is gorgeous, but the couple of songs I've heard have been good but forgettable.
So, hmmmm?

Probably a good idea, I have a weird taste of what is good.

Yes Yes! Its a must. Every song is better then the next. Its just a cute coincidence that Owen appeared on it. I almost forget that he's on it until I get to that track... and Lets not even mention the Zac P. one oh boy, oh boy. I've claimed Alone at the Pier to be my official song for Spring '10. just because its spring time.....doesn't mean it is: I'll give you everything timeahhh..
