I looked around the most recent pages of threads here but didn't see anything about this, so I'm posting. Here is the recap and then a few videos of Owen when he was on Dinner with the Band for those of you who haven't seen it. www.ifc.com/dinner-with-the-band/episodes/final-fantasy.phpSongs performed: Keep the dog quiet E is for Estranged This Lamb Sells Condos Has anyone watched the whole episode? I guess you can buy it for $1.99 on itunes or something. I was more so wondering about Owen's reaction to the food. I guess he is no longer vegan, but it says he keeps a vegan kitchen at home? Since it was a cooking show, I'm guessing he ate the lamb, but in the short clips they have, he doesn't seem overly excited. Also, during the cooking of the lamb, Owen talks about "cute little Icelandic ponies" that get "ground up into burgers." I don't know if this joke is supposed to be positive or negative or ambivalent or what. Any thoughts from those who know the man more?

Hmm.... I haven't been able to watch the clips because my computer hatesmehatesmehatesme at the moment *grrr*, but I'm guessing it wasn't really a joke. Sadly, cute little Icelandic ponies do actually get eaten by cute little Icelandic people traditionally. :/

Sadly, cute little Icelandic ponies do actually get eaten by cute little Icelandic people traditionally. :/ I don't doubt that ponies are eaten, I was more so referring to the dry delivery of Owen and wondering if it was supposed to be kind of "oh snap, I am making an ethical statement but it sounds like a joke" sort of deals. I saw a picture of Owen eating a slim Jim with the guy from Grizzly Bear, so I guess he would be okay eating lamb on a television show?
