Ontario is awesome, for serious. Particularly Toronto, although I am very fond of Waterloo. Totally share it with anyone you want, emyli! It's true. People who say New York is the best city in the world forget that Toronto is just like New York, only it's not in the states. Esther, your 'package' arrived! I don't know what to say, other than this www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6xH7OttLhEHave you considered taking your music on tour, either solo or with an ensemble? Even just across Toronto?

People who say that New York is the best city in the world have no clue.
Does Canada have a Portland?

Yay, Tristan! That video made me crack up.
I have considered arranging it down for smaller ensemble and performing it live, but logistics: they're hard. I think maybe in the fall when my quintet (piano, keyboards, sax, flute, oboe) is back together I'll rope in my string bass friend and try a show or two. Solo it's hard, though! None of those songs are oboe-loopable, and I am the worst pianist. It's nice to know you'd like to hear it, though!
I think Canada has a bunch of Portlands, emyli. I mean, A, we have Montreal, and then Vancouver and Victoria and Winnipeg.

Esther, that is fucking incredible. I'm actually a little short of breath "knowing" someone featured on STG. And the description is written by Dan, too! He's so dreamy. (Your song is gorgeous, incidentally...) Congratulations a hundred times over!

Hey, there's a reason that Toronto is often used as New York in films (see: Kick-Ass. Ha, the driving scene where they pass Dundas Square multiple times while supposedly going in one direction). As for Canada's version of Portland, I feel like that would be Vancouver. Then again, I haven't been to either place.

Oh man, Esther, that is so amazingly Awesome!!!! This really sounds fantastic, hun. Am I too late to request/beg/plead for a copy?? Do you accept bribery or gifts of great ridiculousness? I'm gonna PM you my address just in case! Oh! And although one night spent in a motel in Portland doesn't make me much of a judge, I'm thinking Vancouver is probably Canada's version of the city... it's a teensy bit less laid back than the island (Victoria) but yah, similar artistic/environmentalist/vegan vibe.. I think.

Hmm Richie, you are talking of him as if he doesn't post on the boards anymore. He just changed his screen name for Thomas, just so you know. If you weren't doing that, my bad, and ignore this post completely.
