Oh wow, it's only on the Canadian version then? Wow. Well, if some of you are interested, I could send it to you, just PM me.

I've been working on the piano score of "this lamb sells condos" for a while now. It's has really tricky rhythms and also I've only been playing piano for a little over a year now. It's coming nicely, also my piano teacher (a classically trained jazz enthusiast) has become an owen pallett fan. so that's something I found the rhythms okay, just the gigantic left hand leaps putting my wrist into spasm and makin' me play of swing timey. The intro is so fun to play though. Anyone tried to learn the He Poos Clouds trascription? Its a fucking bitch. I put a video of me bashing through the HPC piano transcription... I find "This Lamb" harder to play because of all that left hand business. I always was weak at that kind of "oom-pah" left-hand stuff... I do musical theatre rehearsal piano-playing here and there, so it's really something I need to work on, lol... The bit I just can't play *and* sing is the last section of "This Lamb" before the outro... you know the bit? I don't remember all the words... the "faggots back to forest hill" and "honey honey shut your mouth" business!

the Flare Gun transcription which I'm grappling with now. Glad you're enjoying the HPC arrangement! Flare Gun is more of a transcription than piano arrangement, and it's kinda impossible to play it very satisfyingly. I think it sounds OK to cheat the semiquavers and just play the kinda 'trill' note as part of the chord. It's fast enough that it's a similar effect. It's such a satisfying tune though, that even if you just play the basic chords (the big notes) and sing it, it's fun :D I was gonna work out "E is for Estranged" but now I'll just wait to buy the score. I don't know whether to order it online or hold out for the gig next month... As an aspiring composer/arranger (a boy can dream) I'm such a geek for full scores, it's so cool seeing how everything works!

Between a Beethoven Theme and Variations I'm learning and some of my composing for class, I've had to make a lot of progress in jumping across a good deal of keys (I can cheat on Lamb because...my hands are actually that big. So, with a bit more work I think it'll be definitely playable. long and short of it is, I ain't giving up.

Lewis Takes Off His Shirt for accordion www.sendspace.com/file/8cnbhbEver since the first time I saw Final Fantasy (err Owen Pallett) perform live, I wanted to cover this song. After he played it I was awestruck; I just didn't know what to do with myself afterwards. Unfortunately, I knew a lack of talent would forever prevent me from mastering it, but then I realized: "Who needs talent in a world of audio engineering!" And so, as a result, I present the Amateur version of Lewis Takes Off His Shirt. If it sounds like an audio chopping board, that's because it is.

I absolutely love the horns/trumpets/whatever in that bridge section. Owen should have done that!

They're actually pocket trumpets, and other pocket trumpets digitally altered to sound like french horns. Like I said, you don't need real talent when you've got a dumpster full of digital tricks.

Are pocket trumpets (or any mini brass instruments for that matter) easier to play than their regular sized counterparts? I only have experience playing woodwind and string instruments and have always wanted to play a horn of sorts, but I'd like to get something kind of small and cheap, mostly as something fun to add to my music.

I don't know about any others, but pocket trumpets are just as easy/hard to play as regular trumpets. They are a bit easier for playing one handed, which comes in handy when you're juggling instruments. That's mainly the reason I got it, that plus all the inappropriate jokes I get to make about my "tiny horn". I'm all for learning new things, but from what I heard, your music is pretty fun already!

I might try it out, I was looking into getting one of those piccolo french horns. I have no hope of ever affording a full sized, plus the little one would just be something unique to add and, hopefully, fun to play. Thank you for the compliment by the way! I downloaded your cover, nicely done! Much better at editing and programming than I am.
