someone on wikipedia, and someone on youtube reckon that "hey dad" and "→" both borrow a melody from the "coin heaven" music.
i have to say ... what? does this person have highly individual ears, or is my memory of all three spectacularly wrong / i'm not genius enough to notice the similarity?!

i know "an arrow in the side of final fantasy" uses the theme from six golden coins for gameboy.

ah now that's a bit different. i was tearing my hair out again but this interview says it's based on "a melody" from six golden coins rather than the main one. even better, google actually found this one! fabulous! "star maze" www.youtube.com/watch?v=EmD9WnLYR5Iit doesn't have the beautiful, mad modulation in it though a brilliant twist. the other mystery is still having me grit my teeth! edited for inability to remember bbcode

Very nice. I don't see it in → but definitely in hey dad.

There's already a post on this and Owen responded by saying that it was completely unintentional, at least for Hey Dad.
