Fishbone 2004: Maxing Out at Cannabis CupFishbone, L.A.'s legendary funk-ska-soul-a-saurus band of the 80s and 90s, has survived the millenium despite the challenges of corporate label mishaps and internal implosions. Founding members Norwood Fisher and Angelo Moore have piloted the band through new incarnations which manage to maintain the manic creativity that earned the band so many devoted cult-like fans throughout the world. In 2004, you can look forward to a new Fishbone DVD, "Live at the Cannabis Cup 2002," with video from Fishbone's antics while performing and judging at the annual Amsterdam festival. Fisher describes the band's responsibilities at Cannabis Cup in this article from the Portland Tribune: "...we go to Amsterdam and smoke the best weed on the planet, and we judge it and try to figure what is the best weed and marijuana product." You rarely see that kinda gig on HotJobs, I must say. More Fishbone articles : ska.about.com/cs/fishbone/index.htm
