any sub genre group tha tpoepl take too seriously is really lame., straight edgers being one of them. why cant people just chose not to drink? punks are just as bad, as are hipsters and post punk kids.
( i'm making a generalization, if you like post punk or crust punk, good for that, im just using those as example groups. we all know you kind like those types of music and not be in a clique)

The post- prefix is usually used to demonstrate that the music incorporates elements of the suffix genre, but is largely a huge departure from the genre.
The average post-hardcore band doesn't exactly sound like they might be influenced a lot by say... Minor Threat or Youth of Today, wouldn't you say?

they usally sound nothing like 1st wave hardcore bands ( minor threat, no means no ect)
a good about hardcore bands, is the total lack of relying on fashion to be "hardcore". godam street/fashion punks are annoying.

True enough!
There are different fashions within hardcore, but generally, it doesn't really matter that much unless you look like an absolute goof and don't give a shit/know shit about hardcore. In which case, the fashion is just another excuse... haha.
