Lately I've been craving remixes/mashups/what-have-you. "Remixes! Remixes!!! Remixes!!!!!" ;D /jumps-around-like-horribly-hyper-child-on-sugar sooooo...... is there any ff remixes out there that i should be immediately aware of and covet? (besides the Cadence Weapon, of course). and if there isn't yet, then Why The Hell Not?? This oh so needs to be done, like soon, as in NOW!! I think Simon Bookish would be an obvious choice, maybe too obvious? hmmnnn.... Please help! In fact, the first person to post an ff-remix link for me will be the lucky recipient of a wickedly-knitted-by-me scarf in godawful colours. Don't let that discourage you though.

I've got nothing.
But I do like the idea of remixes. They're usually either really good or really crap, but it's always interesting to hear others' interpretations of how songs can be improved/altered.
What about Patrick Wolf? I like his remixes most of the time (I swear I'm not being super oh-my-gosh-I-am-such-a-huge-fan biased about this). Plus, maybe a little payback for Owen leanin' all them songs for the shows in December? O:

so is this a call to do remixes of final fantasy work, being as i can assure though owen has done other people's stuff, i'm 99% sure no one has done his?

I attempted an awful cover of Fantasy once using bass instead of violin, why I do not know. but I'll try my hand at remixing- I sure could use a scarf.

There is always "This Is The Dream Of Emma & Cam" or "The Sea (Tenderizer)" both on YCM and "CN Tower (Version)" on Many Lives-> 49 MP which might be classed as re-working more than remixes, but are superdeluxextrawonderful alternatives to the originals. I'd be interested to see the interpretation someone like Leo Chadburn (my immediate thought as well, but not too obvious) would come up with or a Max Tundra slant, but largely I'm happy that Owen does look to provide alternatives where he thinks a new version is worthy of our ears. The Cadence Weapon version of "What do you think will happen next" is asoinishingly good especially that twiddly bit at the end.

haha! i decided to wander through "outdated" and "dying" threads. I had stumbled upon this one. im not sure if i even like the idea of bringing it back to life, however the tempting offer of messing up a beautiful thing sounded like too much fun to let pass by.
So, i (temperarily) pushed back the visual arts and mixed n' mashed a take on CN Tower. It was my first Remix, but being its all for fun and games, you all my as well get to hear it
i only recently discovered the wonders of photobucket, are there any similar tools but for MP3s?

There's Supload, but I'm not sure if that's quite what you're looking for. I've used it a few times to host some of my stuff to show to friends.

I could (try to) do a good remix if I had the individual song tracks... I recently finished a cover of OMD's Telegraph, though it is largely influenced by Owen's version, but I'm not sure I'm happy with it... But speaking of remixes, Patrick Wolf's remix of Helpless Fool For Love by Annie is BRILLIANT; I like it better than the original, and I'm a huge Annie fan. EDIT: I didn't see ender605's post; agreed. Double Edit: Richie, I listened to your remix, and it has a lot of potential; but as mentioned we need individual tracks if we are to make high class remixes, 'cause there's only so much you can do with a finished track; but great job regardless!
