When owen does the digitized violin crescendo-y bit live, I get goosebumps. Getting to this part in this song, I was so ecstatic. Then it came and I was like "Huh? Thats it? Just some brass dissonance?"
The rest of the song is top notch, but I dunno.

Yeah, its kinda a low-key affair, but live its the climax. Whatever. I'm sure it'll be perfect in the context of the album.

I always just assumed Heartland would sound more or less like the Hey Dad/What Do You Think Will Happen Next single, but more dense. Would I be far off in my assumption?

It's beautiful! I love the vocal doubling and harmony, and, and the orchestration is Top Notch and I hear oboe and it makes my heart happy.

You guys seriously have Heartland? Or is it just the Lewis Takes Action single?
Either way, I'd love to hear either. Saw Owen at Union Chapel in May and he was amazing.

It's beautiful! I love the vocal doubling and harmony ;D So I guess recently Owen recorded a voice patch on his synth of him singing. When I saw him play this song, I bursted into laughter when he played the "Ooo" parts on the keys while singing. I laugh loud and was a little embarrassed standing so close to the stage..
