Listening to Heartland this much has given me a real craving to play Zelda, probably because I imagine Lewis to look quite like grown up Link. It's really annoying me though because I don't really have the time at the moment to play it. OH MY GOD. me too. seriously, i always picture it as a zelda game. whoa.

Also, I can only fall asleep if Heartland is playing. If it is not, I will continually wake up disoriented and with songs stuck in my head. Bah... this is somewhat an unfortunate situation but at least it is easily and happily remedied

I'm kind of jealous of you there. I can't sleep with heartland playing, I have to listen to every last note. It totally wakes my brain up and puts me into hyper-focused mode. I wish I could play it while sleeping though, I would have the coolest dreams.

Oooh ooh ooh ooh, possible reference here:
"Oh Bondage Up Yours!" by X-Ray Spex, might've inspired the Heartland track name/content?

Nice catch, Alyssa! I'm going to have to listen to that track for the title alone.
Also, my Heartland CD finally arrived today! I like how the disc says Owen Pallett but the packaging says Final Fantasy--best of both worlds. And this sounds so good on the stereo, I cannot get over it.

You should be able to get the Max Tundra remix as a download track from iTunes now ( I don't think you need to buy the whole album either so a bargain.. might not be in all regions so no shouting at jules) and the single should be landing on doors around now. I thought it was funny how the label was stuck on at 90 degrees to the picture.

You probably got the change over point where they had still got packaging, but the disc was from new batch. I suspect most of the Final Fantasy labelled stock will be in the US, because launch was planned to be earlier so more stock would have been produced before the name change.

YES!!! I've BLOODY GOT IT!
I haven't had internet for the past 3 days, and I just wanted to get on here and tell you all that everything good that has been written about this album is totally and completely justified. I was walking down to my lecture on tuesday morning, stopped by my letterbox to check and then turned right round back up to my room with Heartland clutched tightly in my hand. Locked the door, closed the blinds, put the headphones on, and literally had one of the most intense experiences I've ever known.
That thing about feeling like you were flying? - I got that. By the end I felt like I'd gone through everything Lewis had, I suddenly had this load of memories of his experiences in my head, almost like I'm thinking, "hey, remember that time I sailed to that island and got shot...?" I don't know if this is what Owen was going for but it's something I've never experienced before. Just stunning. I can't listen to it too much because it's like watching your favourite film over and over, I don't want to ruin it, and to be honest I can't take the emotional hit from it too many times in one day!
It's a stunner Owen, thank you.

Still haven't gotten "Heartland" from Domino, only a short e-mail from customer service that said the first month of pre-orders were lost "by the warehouse" and all the shipping information had to be regenerated. This only after three unanswered e-mails asking what the hold-up was. Also, the link I was provided to track what I assume is my package never updates. *ARGH.*
Sooooo...
...does anybody know of a U.S. source for a digital copy of "A Watery Day"? I already checked the obvious spots, and I think the answer is "no." So, as I grow less enthusiastic towards placing another order through Clusterfuck Records with each day that passes, is anyone willing to rip a file with the bonus tracks?
"What?! A so blatantly unveiled request for pirating on the official board?!"
Hell, we're all thinking it. I'm not one for pretense.

How come they didn't notice us about this?! It reminds of YCM 7". I ordered & paid for it but the vinyl never come. No email reply, so I paid for nothing at that time. I downloaded files on the internet (sorry, Owen) and I gave up. Never this time again.

WHAT?!?!?!?! Do I have to e-mail them??? How come they didn't notice us about this?! I'm not sure how overseas orders are handled; the response from Domino U.S. made it seem like the problem was with a few weeks of pre-orders that were being shipped from one warehouse in New York state. If sending your questions to them would make you feel better, then I would. At least you won't be wondering. This is customer service address from the London website; you may want to check the invoice they sent you when you placed your order for a different one: www.dominorecordco.com/contact/Oh! And thanks very much to all the whiz-kids who sent links to various foreign editions, B-Sides, etc. ("A Watery Day" is gorgeous, even if I was expecting lyrics about chicken soup and virginity...) The only thing I haven't heard now is the album!
