This lamb sells condos is included as one of the tracks on the free cd with the latests edition of Uncut in the united kingdom. Others include Band of Horses, BSS, Swan Lake, TVOT, CHSY and Deerhof
There is an article on North American indie rock and it comments on the gulf between there and the UK scene .The Uk scene is desribed fairly accurately IMO as "generally boils down to choosing between soppy, Radio2head ballardry, or the sketchy shambles of baby britpop".
The article obviously majors on The Arcade Fire as the uk press is awash with reviews of Neon Bible at the moment, but Owen gets a brief mention re winning Polaris last year and comments on "he poos clouds" that it was " audacious" and "a baroque wonder".
It good that more people in europe are being made aware of the general quality of stuff from north america and perhaps the Uk scene will "Wake Up" as the article title states.

Actually, I know a few people that know of the good North American music even if they live in the U.K. (I even heard of Owen Pallett from one of them). But I think that you are right about most of what you said.
