hey guys just got my free tix today, on the left balcony row B seat 215-216, but something came up so theres a 50/50 chance that i MIGHT not be able to make it, so if anybody doesnt have tickets and would like to go, PM me or something

Not only did I get two free tix in the mail, but they emailed asking if I'd like to reserve a third! The seats are in the balcony, yes -- but considering that I saved 120$ to get them, I don't mind too much. I hear there'll be lots of afternoon goings-on at Library Square to supplement the Buffy Ste. Marie / Final Fantasy performance... fun fun fun.

now that you mention it, and also because i wrote something for UKK anyway, here's ...wel it's not really a review it's just a lot of me complaining about a woman sitting behind me....and some videos! Here goes:

So saturday i went to vancouver's festival of power, featuring Kinnie Starr, Jim Byrnes, Buffy Sainte Marie, and FINAL FANTASY.
I got free tickets from the festival so i was psyched.
At first, i couldnt go to the show becuase i had to go to this dinner thing, but then i got out of it. Usually i dont film/take pictures at shows because it's a real distraction to having to keep my eye on the camera instead of the show itself, but i was gonna film a little bit of it this time for the sake of showing some other people i know who didnt get to go. Owen's set was real dark and because the VCPA is a pretty large venue and i was on the third balcony, all you could see was owen's silhouette under a single, weak spotlight, and after steph came out to do the projections there was no light at all except from the projector and owen was just merely a shadow somewhere on stage
So, owen was up last, and i started filming with my camera. I realised that the screen on my camera was pretty bright considering we were in total darkness so i covered the screen with my hand most of the time, except to check if i still had everything i wanted in the frame...
so maybe like 20 minutes later (the projections were already going), this woman from behind me JABBED me in the shoulder from the back and said "EXCUSE ME! (very rudely/annoyed) That's REALLY annoying!" (or something like that). I was totally mesmerised by the show and was caught off guard and for a moment i had no idea what she said to me so i said "pardon?" (note i was very polite!) and she repeated herself and i said .."oh.....i'm sorry i'l stop it now" so i turned my camera off.
I turned around and me and my friend kind of just looked at each other in confusion and silent anger because my friend was right beside me and i had covered the screen with my hand and none of us got any glare off of it...but whatever, you know.
If she had asked nicely, like "sorry, but the glare from your camera is really buggin me" then i wouldve happily turned it off, and WHAT WITH THE VIOLENCE? A tap on the shoulder is fine, thanks! but she totally jabbed me! I can fuckin sue her ass, i do live in Canada! XD
but yeah, that was my angry rant....
what did i do wrong?

also, even though it was pretty much Buffy's show, it seemed like most of the audience around where i was sitting was only there for owen based on the excessive cheering/excitement whenver anyone on stage said "Final Fantasy"
Oh, and also, when Owen was being introduced, Arcade Fire was mentioned and me and a few people around me went "WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!"....just felt nice is all, to be one of the 5 out of 600 people who actually cared
