Only just now have I finally heard the original Bloc Party version of the track- in fact, I've never really got into them at all- and actually, though it is good, it doesn't shine the way Owen's rendition does at all! Well I never. Are there any Bloc Party fans about? Should I be listening to them?

I think they're pretty good. It's more driven towards the modern rock scene these days, but their's is very unique in my opinion. Another good song you should listen to is "So Here We Are", which is probably my favorite, or their most popular song "Banquet".

Plans and Blue Light are up there for me, too.

Oh, I have just listened to So Here We Are and have realised I know it! It plays on our hold music at work and I've been trying for ages to find out what it is. Brilliant!

I heard Owen's version before the Bloc Party version, and I misunderstood Owen. I thought he was saying "This modern love RAPES ME" and I was thinking "wow!"
