In that kingston bootleg, owen says something like
"its like a conversation you overheard you hear this girl with like big hair 'hes so wonderful and he does so much for me, he poos clouds!"
is this how the album got its title? or is it also something you would overhear a girl with big hair saying? because i could totally imagine overhearing it. or am i just overzealous about the meaning?

My guess is that the song 'He Poos Clouds' is about Zelda and videogames in general. 'I move 'em with my thumbs' -> game controller. The controller would be the 'voice' he's following, the one playing the game is the 'master', the game character (in this case, probably Link) needs guideance and obviously he's a loveable digital boy who doesn't do cocaine. Secret saeshells are found in Zelda games and I believe there was one involving 'Seven Prophecies' and there was definitely a 'Shadow Link'. At the beginning of the game, you have to name your character (not writing it on a paper but on a screen -> 'I write your name in Nothing') It happens a lot in videogames that you take a swim in the ocean and bump onto an invisible wall cause that's how far the videogame world goes (He swam to the edge of the wall of the world) Owen's lyrics are obviously not always meanth to be taken seriously. The bit about the woman saying 'he does so much for me, he poos clouds' just means that he's perfect. This might all seem far-fetched, but tell me this does not look like a person who's about to poo a cloud:  (Yes, I used to be a video game nerd) |

Sorry I missed the real question in all my excitement.  It must be something Owen imagines he would say if HE were a big haired girl, cause I can’t honestly picture someone on the bus saying that out loud. (I’m still ignorant about how weird people can get) Didn’t even know Gentleman Reg up until now… He’d would poo clouds regardless of the hair… |
