Just read about it on Tomlab
Basel is a small town in the german part of Switzerland where most people listen to crappy house music and german dance... Not much happening musicaly from what I know of.
I'm a music lover from Montreal who's been living here since Jan 23 and who will be here until July... There hasnt been one good show since I got here that made me want to go out (apart from Radu Lupu but I found out about it a week too late)
Thank you so much Owen for coming to see me and bringing me some canadian love xxx

oh no it's not... everyone still thinks of the love parade in berlin. we even made it that there was no dance techno love parade last year. unfortunately there'll be one this year. whatever. i should really make a mix cd some day with some good german music. it's actually pretty crazy what's going on like.. underground you know...

As far as Basel goes (from what I know, tell me if I'm wrong please), they don't dig too far... Switzerland is divided in three really separate parts(french / german / italian) and I haven't seen much of a swiss vibe...
70-90% of what I hear on the radio/ what ppl listen to is old stuff from the 90s, Robbie Williams or Mr. Mike... I find it sad.
Also, one guy at work took Queen for Bon Jovi the other day...

Happens everywhere I guess. You guys know Kate Ryan? She's quite "famous" in Europe these days, and she's from Belgium. Sad indeed that it's always that kind of music that crosses the borders.

I think I need to read more carefully. When I saw the subject I thought it was saying Final Fantasy was playing the Bagel here in Toronto. Wishful thinking I guess.
