Only just getting into this fine band of yours and see they're playing Glasgow at some point in the not too distant future.
Basically, being a money-needy student and having far too many good gigs to go to I need to pick my gigs carefully. (Is this beginning to drag or is it just me?)
Anyhoo, top 5 reasons for going to see Final Fantasy live? Shoot!

Anyhoo, top 5 reasons for going to see Final Fantasy live? Shoot! Not that you should need reasons, but 1) Knock your socks off entertainment (and that's just the patter between songs) 2) Tales of ancient burial grounds underneath the CN Tower, songs that eat their creators and Freedom 55 Insurance Policies are woven into an epic and mythic from derived from the years of nerdy Teenage role-playing games 3) Clever arrangement, catchy hooks and euphoric meldoy. 4) One of the stand out undiscovered albums of last year. 5) Perhaps you will be at the show when he finally plays "Im afraid of Japan" You can see other bands loads of time, but you need to experience Final Fantasy. You Know it makes sense

it's a he, not a they
1. better stage banter than any other artist i've seen live. 2. the music is really fucking good 3. it'll almost certainly be cheapest 'named artist' gig you see 4. probably most of the reason why arcade fire's funeral is an amazing album instead of a fairly good one 5. there probably wont be that many gigs to see anyway because most of the little UK bands and half the big ones are about to go into the studio and lock the door for six months, and the rest of the big ones will cost too much, and the rest of the little ones probably arent very good in the first place.
in conclusion, go see final fantasy. and support east coast football teams. but not the maroon one.

i actually hear that it might be a they for this tour... and therefore, the main selling point is the sheer amazingness of his band. seriously, you won't regret heading to Glasgow.

1. songs with the emotional compasity of a passionate love story 2. creativity with the use of a violin 3. best stage banter (but as soon as the songs begin again, youre back into the music) 4. its owen pallett 5. i personally think that 20 or 30 years from now, owen will be recognized as a groundbreaking artist, looked back on who was something new. this is not your run-of-the-mill performer, but a truely amazing artist

Sold, shall get tickets once I get paid next week.
I'm liking the sound of these songs that eat creators, there's a few 'creators' who could do with being eaten.
In my book unless his name's Final Fantasy (which I know it's not) it's a they. Doesn't make much sense but makes thing easier as a general rule.
What's the talk of 'Funeral' aboot? *probably a stupid question*
As for other bands to see I'm not doing too badly so far. Already seen Alexi Murdoch, Geoff Martyn, Stephen Fretwell and Morning Runner this year (week). And have José González, El Perro Del Mar, Death Cab For Cutie, John Vanderslice (!), and Broken Social Scene tickets. ...starting to see why funds are a problem? Although admittedly many of those bands are support acts of the others.
Talking of which, I know it's a long way off yet, but any word on support for the gigs later.
P.S. If you're meaning Hearts by 'maroon'. Have to say I've always favoured them over the other team. Personally I'm an ex-Rangers fan.

Ok forget the question about Funeral, after seeing a picture of Owen I realise that it was indeed a stupid question.

Personally I'm an ex-Rangers fan. you jumped ship at the right time then. hun-humping has become something of a sport for hibs this season. anyway, death cab/BSS have to be much lower priorities than owen here. good music must bow before bloody great music. oh, and a heads up: belle and sebastian are playing in glasgow Virgin on tuesday at 5. be there, or be sullen for a while after missing it!

Indeedy, got myself a part-time job on Saturdays so had to give up my season ticket at Ibrox, and gradually just lost all interest in it. To be honest was sick of all the extra baggage that comes with going to football matches in Scotland (and especially Glasgow) anyway. See I have the problem of being a huge B&S fan but also knowing Stuart Murdoch fairly well and he's the most modest guy about it all you could ever meet. Know him through like a youth group he helped run and through 3 or 4 years of knowing him you wouldn't know he was in a band nevermind B&S. So does rather make things like signing sessions rather awkward. Seen them a few times in concert though, most recently at the gig they did at The Arches in Glasgow a short while back. Sadly didn't have the cash to go see them this time round which I'm kicking myself about since my little bro who is going appears to have landed himself a backstage pass. Haha and I've also been rather put out by the fact stellastarr* who I've adored for ages chose to play in Glasgow the same night I've already got ticks for Death Cab & John Vanderslice. Seriously, what are the chances? Would it really be such a bad thing for me to phone in a bomb threat to delay one of the concerts long enough for me to nip across the city? Or are the b lack helicopters coming to get me now?

stellastarr* are a great big huge load better than death cab or vanderslice. you know what to do.
the bomb threat is a good idea. if the black helicopters do turn up, offer to set off more bombs in sighthill; they'll probably give you a lift.
oh, by the way, am i only person who thinks dear castrophe waitress is the best B&S album?

'Fold Your Hands Child..' was the first album B&S album I ever heard/owned so it's special to me for that reason. Apart from that it's pretty much impossible for me to choose one single album.
My dream B&S album would look a little like this... 1. I Fought In A War 2. She's Losing It 3. Get Me Away From Here, I'm Dying 4. Women's Realm 5. Photo Jenny 6. Me And The Major 7. If She Wants Me 8. Lord Anthony 9. Sukie In The Graveyard (from the new album) 10. Rollercoaster Ride (hidden track) 11. Judy And The Dream Of Horses
I already have tickets for Death Cab which saves a little bit of heartbreak over which show to go see. Really want to go see John Vanderslice so stellastarr* shall have to wait for another day.
Got any good gigs lined up yourself this spring?

final fantasy in one or both of nottingham and london. ive promised myself a feast of live music in the next few months, depending on what comes up. The Go! Team will probably be part of my plans. If I can get CYHSY tickets for the beginning of feb, that's a score too.
oh, and where's sleep the clock around on that list? it's so obviously got to be the closer.

Nooo, why does he have to play Sleazy's!? I can't get in that bloody place. It's rubbish being under 18, you're too spotty and short to do anything good, like see Final Fantasy.
