this is a bit of an odd message, i am new here and i have checked some back posts but i don't think anyone has asked about this...
in may 2004 (i believe it was....yikes), i was at Fly in Toronto...we got there pretty late and were pretty drunk, but I do remember dancing and a guy playing violin like mad along with the DJ's beats....the only song i really remember is when the violinist covered "seven nation army"....anyhow...
this wasn't owen...

I think you're thinking of Eugene Draw. I met him five years ago, we were both playing on the street. He dresses well and does a limbo move while playing.
He gave me his card, where he was topless and posing with the violin with a blue tint. I liked his violin playing then, but I don't know what he's up to now.

Oh! Then I met him on the streetcar a couple of years later, and he told me he was selling insurance. That made me sad. Maybe he's making music again?
