When Owen records in a studio does he construct the songs in the same way that he does live - looping peddles and fading with his toes?
Im thinking he probably does. That kinda being part of the 'point' as it were.
What does everyone else think?

Ok, i'll take a crack at this. Owen brings in the St. Kitts String Quartet to do alot of the strings, Owen himself uses the AKG 440 I think. No looping pedal involved, they sound good, but i dunno about doing a record with one. Um.. Petro probly does horns. And has a good home was recorded at Leons.

No, lots of times you play a loop once and you put it in the computer and copy and paste it. It differs with everyone offcourse, some might not want to sound that 'clean' and want the 'loop' to sound a bit different every time it returns.

As far as I know, St Kitts had nothing to do with the already released Final Fantasy recordings. That's all Owen. That'll change for the new record, I think.
And if the 7" version of Win & Regine is any indication, I'm pretty sure that Owen doesn't use the looper at all when he records. Just overdub overdub overdub.
I think maybe Owen or Leon would be better at answering this question though. I'm just a little bored at work.
