Grizzly Bear are a band from NYC. Last night they put on the best show I've seen in a long, long time.
Maybe it's because they sounded "exactly" like Les Mouches, except a hundred times better. Maybe it's because I've heard their records and thought "Sebadoh" when actually they are magicians of the highest order.
Either way, everybody should flock to see these seagulls.

Aw, come on, it's brilliant!
Well, ok, I admit I have pretty bizarre taste in movies. But it I think it is highly underrated (especially as far as Hal's flicks go).
I am also a big ol' Sarah Polley fan... maybe you can blame it on that.

Man, it's funny how Grizzly Bear keeps popping up everywhere. I first heard about them because they did a split 7" with one of my other favorite bands, Seabear. Then, my friend who works at Fontana Distribution sent me their CD in a package of new bands he wanted me to hear. Now, I find out they're working with Owen (erm...Owen's working with them?). Yeah. 10,000 cool points to them.
