I know how terribly FASHIONABLE Kate Bush is now.
But really, did she ever make as good a record as Boys For Pele?
Admit it. How many of you ACTUALLY listen to "The 9th Wave" portion of Hounds of Love? Does anybody really enjoy songs like "Wow" or "Baboushka"? And even though "Sat In Your Lap" is bloody amazing, can it even touch "Caught A Lite Sneeze"?
And even though I mostly listen to my roommate's field recordings, Gang Gang Dance and Cranium, I must admit. "Pretty Good Year" is the best song ever written.

IN RUSSIA BABOUSHKA A WITCH VISITS THE CHILDREN WHO HAVE BEEN GOOD ON CHRISTAMAS EVE. SHE WAS THE ONE WHO TOLD THE 3 WISE MEN TO GO A DIFFERENT WAY HOME. IF SHE DIDN'T THE KING HEROD WOULD HAVE FOUND THE BABY JESUS AND KILLED HIM. THE NAME MIGHT BE FAMILIAR "BABOUSHKA" A KERCHIF LIKE THING YOU WEAR ON YOUR HEAD. RUSSIA ALSO HAS GRANDFATHER FROST THE INVENTOR OF SNOW. PFFFFFFFFFFFFFTTTTTTTTTTTTT

I always thought that "Baboushka" meant "gradmother," or at least that it was a term of endearment for "grandmother."
