I would have to agree! Fantastic. (as were the dear Arcade Fire) I have just wandered here after returning from the show. Hmm. Hooray!

I was at the gig last night and I was really impressed. Beautiful music.
Presumably people reading here like the strings in The Arcade Fire and have found that they like violin all the more with Owen's performance. If so, and you like your music a little dark, you may also like Hope of the States.

that gig was am honour to be at. It was a true "I was there" moment. OK, i was there for Arcade Fire, but I'm glad I was there early, as I manged to catch an enormously talented, charming (and hot) act.
I'm certainly converted.

Reminded me a little of Patrick Wolf (who I love) its great to see that you've played gigs together. yes! i thought that too, patrick is wonderful too. itd be amazing to see them play together\2 Played gig together, really. Just one. I hang out with WolfApps and we're like fish and butter. He is a capital e-mail composer. But our music goes together like pickles and ice cream, don't you think? I mean, he'd never be seen screaming "I'm afraid of Japan!!!" and I'd never be seen rolling my R on "like a bird in an aviarrrrry". Also, he's British with a capital B and I'm Not British with a capital N. And Patrick is good at programming beats and so on. I haven't programmed a beat since I was 12, and it was lousy. And I have been heard to say "Xiu Xiu are the best band ever!!!" and I have personally heard him say "Xiu Xiu are the worst band ever!!!" which further makes us opposites. I don't think Patrick and I will play many or any more shows together ever. IT JUST DOESN'T WORK. Trust me. Our music is as similar as apples and archaeology.

patrick's music is very wintry. i live down in the south-west (uk) where most of 'wind in the wires' is set and it just fits so well, especially in the winter. whereas i wouldn't say owen's music has a seasonal bias.

Well, since I'm an archaeologist and HUGE (with capital H ) Patrick Wolf fan, I'd say you, Owen, would be the apple... hmmmm... still, I think I would enjoy a bite anyway ;D
