The new Lenin I Shumov EP. I heard it last night.
Magali and I clutched each other and shouted "WHAT IS THIS?!?"
I'm a longtime fan (and harsh critic) of Eugene/Lenin. This record is miles ahead of all expectations and wildest dreams.
Hopefully Steve will post tracks soon.

Owen, before tonight I had absolutely no idea who Final Fantasy was. I saw you opening for the Arcade Fire and I was totally thrilled, and I guess I wasn't the only one as didn't manage to put my hands on a copy of your cd. So first thing when I got home, ordered a copy on the blue house and found this forum to tell how great your music is!
Next: give a listen to all the Blocks bands

WHAT!!? they released an EP?!??! why was i never informed?!! what is it called?
i remember hearing a snibbit of a song that they were working on and my jaw dropping. khaela is amazing. jona is amazing. the blow is amazing.
when was the ep released and when is the full legnth planned for release?
AH. my "how i met khaela maricich" is fantastic. a friend and i got onto a bus and then after a while a "blind" crossdresser gets on, about in his 40s, no makeup, just the fur coat and nails. he kept talking about how he needed to be dropped off at this certain spot and the bus driver kept telling him that the bus does not go over there. we pulled over and they argued for a good 10 minutes. after pointing at a stop light and telling him thats where he needs to go, we realized he was not blind. yet he continued to pretend so. out of the mans fit, we illigally drove him to his church. sorry this part really doesnt have to do with khaela.
anyhow, we thought we were going to miss her because we didnt even know where the place was, but when we got there she had not even got there yet. she had 45 minutes of technical difficulties and looked like she was going to cry. she gave a 15 minute performance of a horrifying speech about her fears of herself while a digital projection was placed onto her and the wall behind her. then she had us all hum this thingy and she sang to it.
afterwards i told her to not worry about the wait because it made for good conversation between my friend and i and khaela was so glad to hear it for some reason. she asked if she could hug me and i of course said yes. it was the cutest thing and the best hug ever. i could tell she was having a baaaad day. she then told me that we should party and i said i had to go.

Owen and Everyone else, Run out quickly and buy records by The Winks! They are amazing! They have mp3's at their website too. The live CBC tracks are quite nice. I think they're from Vancouver or thereabouts. www.thewinks.net! |

hello everyone,
I first saw Owen Pallet opening for the Arcade Fire....amazing.....fell in love with his music and talent.... this music makes my heart sing and my soul soar....just wanted to share that and ask if anyone knows where I can find final fantasy sheet music....just can't stress enough that in a world like ours, music brings such happiness. Thank you Owen Pallet.
