sorry, it's just that like, in the past year, i missed like 10+ really amazing events in san francisco, because i was living in washington. now i live here again and i'm excited for things. believe me, i've had my share of deprivation when it comes to xiu xiu events.

so i'm a loser and i left before jamie's dj set. the first dude (i'm not sure if it was yoni from why? or not) was playing really undancable music, and his set was really long, and we tried to dance but it was kind of a downer. plus, it was already 11 and he didn't seem like he was going to finish anytime soon. plus the space was fucking huge and like no one was dancing. jamie and caralee were dancing a bit and it was kind of hilarious, though.

ah. i wish you'd stayed. jamie went on pretty much right after 11, like at 11:10 or 15 or something, and just played joy division, cure, and smiths. and that got everyone in and dancing. it started the partyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
thanks so much for coming though. and to anyone else who showed up. we raised a good amount of money for the children's home and i know you've heard this line before, but it really really really does make a difference. thank you so much.
