you can disagree--but i think those were just ok. the first panda bear is way better and i never find animal collective very compelling. the new pop deerhoof are find but i prefer the older ragged stuff. i dont think summary is perfect anyway--but its the only album that really blew me off my feet. i think explosions in the sky could not be lamer or more uninteresting and havent listened to graduation. obviously everyone is entitled to their opinion, i just thought there were a lot of established artist who put out really sub-par stuff. oh well--wheres vedran???

Well there you go. We can just chalk this little disagreement to just having different taste in music. I personally think there's some really great releases this year. The new Marissa Nadler, Stars of the Lid, Grails, James Blackshaw, Jens Lekman, etc, etc, but yeah, if you don't like any of those then that's fine. Also I really don't know what Broken Social Scene picture you're talking about. Unless it's the one in my sig, then that's Explosions In the Sky. Yeah they're lame and so very uninteresting, but they're my favorite band and some of the closest friends I have in this world. How about that settling down? Coming anytime soon, or nah? andy you are so articulate. srsllyy love ya too, jay jay

Its just a shame that most people have already heard all of the songs on the album (except Faust Arp). It lacks that wow-factor. The album still kicks ass though. And as far as Coldplay are concearned, Radiohead could shit in your ear and that one shit would still have more artistic merit than Coldplays whole back catalog and it would smell better.

hahahaha...
okay, okay i rescind my comment, but when played 'videotape' to some non-musically-inclined friends, they wanted to know when the new coldplay cd came out.

i (intentionally) never listened to the bootlegs or for that matter saw the shows where they played new material. for me the wow factor was very much there, and still is. i am loving this album.
