I spoke with Freddy at the last xiu xiu show in l.a., and he was kind of talking about this then... it sucks to hear that such a fascinating "band" will no longer exist, but i'm glad he's doing what he wants...
definitely going to be at that smell show now

whatever is best for freddy i support but it sucks that i never got to see him live, and i was hoping he would be doing a summer tour
the one time that he did come to houston/ausitn (ok ...when i was aware of him) was last summer when i was in NY for my grandmothers memorial (who died from cancer coincidently enough)
on a side note, an army recruiter just called me, damn NCLB act, at least he didn't call me "big dog" like the one that called me when i turned 18 did.

yeah i was just about to say the same thing, nikolaskejd. theres a real lack of anything live freddy and it would be really cool to have audio of his last show since obviously so many people here will be attending.. any of you tape/know tapers?

i used to tape, but my mp3 player/recorder recently died... if anyone has an mp3 player that also records (an iriver, for example), it's pretty easy, especially if the sound guy will give you a line out...
and since there's so many people planning on going, we should totally do one of those lame online meet-ups at a local bar or something... maybe the scary mexican ex-con/tranny bar nearby?
