Setlist was the same as usual, no vulture piano and no encore; the lights and music turned on almost immediately after they left the stage. Caralee yelled out the line in i broke up. During yellow raspberry, jamie said "up high and ZORP" really really loud and long, i couldn't stop laughing. It was really nice to see Xiu Xiu as a full fledged band with Ches' percussion-he's really melded into the group this tour...it was almost as if Xiu Xiu was a rock band last night. They had packages of temporary Xiu Xiu tattoos, which was pretty interesting. I saw one that was a pink confederate flag, someone get that and mail it to me-I want to cause controversy on the streets of New York
I met up with James Morrison and Joe Stewart and his girlfriend and we talked a bit while the band packed up. The bartenders were big assholes and wouldn't serve Joe's girl after a while, so I used her drink ticket to get David a drink. Ches gave me a Congs for Brums cd which was super nice:) Then, on the way to the Cock, where everyone went afterwards, I dropped my phone in a gas staion toilet while I was on the phone with Miranda
In spite of that, I tried to get in to the bar, but they told me I looked too young, so I walked home.
I put David's polaroid poster up on my ceiling, so I can look at the sky while I fall asleep:
All in all, a good time.
