Just in from the first show of the tour at the claremont colleges... gorgeous set, and some real surprises (especially for me)... i actually kind of feel bad posting the setlist, because it was kind of a treat being surprised, so if you don't want to know, stop reading now, and don't read anything in this thread
and without further ado, the setlist (i tried to make the font hard to read to prevent spoilers, so highlight to see them)
03/24/07 @ Doms lounge
-sad pony guerilla girl (loud, wild arrangement that was completely shocking) -bishop, ca -crank heart -sad redux-o-grapher (thanks again jamie!) -vulture piano -wig master (w/ caralee speaking the part & playing the flute) -ceremony (i have no idea what to write in the parenthesis...) -i broke up -boy soprano -yellow raspberry -the fox and the rabbit -fabulous muscles (super quiet version that makes the insound version sound niosy in comparison)

!!!!!!!! @ #7 I have to see this tour. But with my luck, they will play it at every show EXCEPT when I see them I won't feel complete until I hear it live.

#7 was indeed pretty unexpected.
I think I liked the version of Sad Pony Guerilla Girl the best.

I was at the tucson show and I must say it was amazing!!!! When they played #7 I was totally blown away. And I was the one to find it here, it was some ducks, candy drops and a support our troops magnet. It was the best time I have ever seen them live, Everyone needs to see this tour!!!!

I have to say, in all my years of seeing the xiu live, this ranks close to the top of the best shows i've seen. I wasn't particularly impressed by the new "sad pony guerilla girl" personally, so i was a little worried @ the beginning, but i was very impressed by the set by the time they got to #7. Other than the song jamie dedicated to me, i think my favorite song was bishop, ca

Just got in from the Austin show not too long ago, and we got the exact same setlist pretty much. It was so incredible, I don't think I've ever seen them play with that much energy. Jamie was on a serious happy streak, because I've never seen him in that good a mood before.
CFTPA was great! I love you, Owen. Thank you for being so great, and adorable.
Shearwater was really good. I think they're pretty out of place, though. Plus they played after Owen, so it's just a weird to go from one mood to another.
Plus at the end of the night Jamie, David, Ches, and a whole bunch of others decided to go for a 2am run up to the Capital. GREAT night.
PS
It was awesome meeting you, Jacob! I hope you get home safe, and maybe I'll see you soon.
