so, with the 2006 tour over, what highlights do you feel warrant mention?
i really loved the live version of 'bishop, ca' it made the song seem far more tantalizing than it had been on the record. also, barr was great. and caralee, well needn't say more.

the percussion on "Hives Hives" was really the high point for me... finally hearing a live version that was somewhat faithful to the original Saunier percussion was really a treat
it probably would have been "fast car" though, but they didn't play it in l.a :-(

zac pennington lying on the floor singing stolen children i finally downloaded this album like two weeks ago, and that song has been stuck in my head almost every day... i really want to see him perform that live how happy my friends were when they gave jamie a sweater that said "air force" on it he wore that sweater at the l.a. show! it was really cold in the echo, so he went and put it on... i thought it was hilarious when i saw him in it |

how happy my friends were when they gave jamie a sweater that said "air force" on it i found a blue 2" inch that said SUPPORT OUR TROOPS in yellow letters at a thrift store. i was gonna give it to jamie, but i lost it. this tour would have been full of gifts! including the non-vegan brownies. i second "hives hives" with drums. omfg. |

highlights were not only hives hives' drums, but that incredible synth that, while not the original album version, was still mindblowing. buzz saw made me cry. more highlights include giving jamie a pink silk yamaka and a bottle of travel lube, and then jamie giving me drink tickets for the bowery ballroom, only to be chased out of the venue for cashing them in  (((GRRRRLS))) STOLEN CHILDREN LIVE www.youtube.com/watch?v=q4gsA8VwdSMjust put up for you parenthetical girls fans...enjoy! |

i finally downloaded this album like two weeks ago, and that song has been stuck in my head almost every day... i really want to see him perform that live zac pennington is such an amazing performer...like, he gets in this sort of trance when he's singing and just moves all over the stage and into the audience. his performance is pretty hard to describe, like at points it seems like he doesn't care what he's doing but then at other points he's just sooo into it. he's really amazing. seeing p-girls with xiu xiu was one of the luckiest things that's happened to me in a while. |

(you know tim? or me??) tim really deserves credit but i had to be the one to go talk to jamie because he was nervous. nonetheless he thought it was the amazing. the concert itself was great. i was getting sick yet remained attentive the whole time and almost cried a little at buzz saw. |
