I listen to Explosions In the Sky or Eluvium if I want to just clear my head. Also, I take long drives out into dark parts of town for some quality night driving. Parking by the lake to ponder is nice, too.

i tend to do exersize to clearn my head
yoga, biking, running
theres a physical and mental thing going on, but in the end you just feel so much better and clear

things tend to make more sense when I'm listening to will oldham
a song like gulf shores does it every time
or an album like arise therefore
but I'm sure I'd feel better if I exercised more

I saw XiuXiu at the tender-loft S.F. a few years back ( well, it was actually Jamie solo and acoustic )... He played with a band called continental... they were amazing ... My point: If you like EITS, then check them out... they are better and it really clears my thoughts to happy thoughts

I find EITS and Mogwai to be my "driving around by myself" music, while This band CONTINENTAL is more peacefull and atmospheric. |
