Anyone here heard the Hylozoists yet (Ontario 10-piece w/ 2 drummers & 2 percussionists)? They're cool in a Vibra/Xylo-Experimental way. Not everyone's bag, but hey. Anything like Cong for Brums?
Can't wait to hear 2(Xiu) in Vancouver, first time live!

Hylozoists sound pretty good, but a bit too straightforward for my tastes. i think a singer would make them sound a lot more interesting, a bit boring without. congs for brums is much more on a free jazz vibe. just ches on vibraphone or on drums with some cool extra junkyard percussion pieces and chiming bowls, or on both. which is really all that's needed because the man is insane.
