that's actually weird that jamie's christian. i don't know. maybe not. all the christians i know are republicans and assholes. but maybe there are some that aren't? maybe?

like all world religions, christianity has some pretty cool teachings; actually, if you just read jesus's teachings, he kicked ass (apparently some buddhist monk years ago said "jesus would have made a very good buddhist)... it's not the religion itself that is so detrimental to society, but rather, extremists who use their religion as justification to destroy (or just be intollerant bigots towards) other groups of people...
we see this with islamic fundamentalists who bombs buildings, the catholic crusades (and about everything else the vatican has done since), and the current republican party... don't hate the religion; hate the misuse of the doctrine
oh, and i'm sure someone will disagree with me, but christianity was screwed up by Paul... everything was fine until that angry little hateful man had a seizure, decided it was a sign from god, and started writing letters to everyone telling them why they were wrong, beginning a long standing tradition still carried out today by the parishioners of most baptist churches :-)
