i just got the cd from ches smith. its really neat; not at all what i expected, i like it a lot
and the sticker says ches collaborated with secret chiefs 3, trevor dunn's trio-convuslant, marc ribot's ceramic dog (none of which i knew of prior to this cd) and of course 7yrc/xiu xiu
any one else get it? or excited to see him?
now im totally stoked.
i like how the cd says 'cong for brums'
but in itunes when i imported it it said 'cong for drums'
and my ticket for the show says 'cong from brums'

i'm totally excited to see him. seeing good for cows was one of the most amazing performances in my experience! i've seen some free jazz-ish drummers before, but never like that!

secret cheifs 3 are wierd, when i first heard them, i thought it was electronic. but evidently they're this group who are all extremely proficent at playing various instruments. and they make some strange instrumental music.
