He_Is_Me says: How could I describe this? Let's play the "X meets Y" game: this song is like the Beach Boys meet Phil Spector in the studio with Brian Eno on keys... or something. The melodies and harmonies are uncannily charming, beautifully scary. Oh, and all this is mixed by Jamie Stewart of Xiu Xiu. Brings back the "chill" in chill-out music.

wow jamie mixed the whole album? edit: oh, i see. thats why theres 2 copies of the album when i downloaded the torrent, and one of them is the version that he mixed.

parenthetical girls are wonderful. but yeah jamie stewart mixed one of the sides of the album or something. the original pressing is one of my favorite releases for the year. zac pennington is kind of the guts of parenthetical girls and he is quite wonderous. hes also BFF with jamie, the dead science guy (i never remember), owen ashworth, and other music folk i love. he and the group make portland proud.

the album is (((GRRRLS))) and its from zacs label.
