i dredged up a little bit of info that i thought was interesting in regards to near-future xiu...
on ches smith's site he mentions: "Looks like a solo Congs for Brums set will open for Xiu Xiu on a US tour in October. I will also be playing in the Xiu Xiu set."
ches is all about the drums, so it appears that there will be a live drummer for the songs! this combined with greg saunier's contribution to the album leads me to believe that 'the air force' is going to be on rhythmic muthafucka.
also, on deerhoof's own myspace: "I heard some tracks off this new Xiu Xiu and it was really amazing - and Caralee's singing, her voice is so beautiful."
i know it's not all that shocking, but it's nice to see some solid confirmation that caralee is indeed going to be singing on a proper full-length. this makes me wonder if nedelle might be laying down vocals as well? speculation is arousing.

I'm really looking forward to the new album. Although its getting hard to get all the releases, i've managed to keep up.
