is this legal? did you contact james stewart of xiu xiu and ask permission? unless they're geting a percentage of the money, and unless KRS or 5RC has authorized this, it's illegal and wrong. i would hold back on buying it until i know the facts. plus, what's the quality? sound board recording or just a fan one?

HAHA... okay, heres the entire story of this release.

at the end of 2003 Nail in the coffin records was talking with J.Stewart about doing a release. we decided on doing the 'chapel of the chimes' 12" with a live b-side. i was given the recomendation of talking with Boris Botistini of Heroine records in Europe to help with this release for a european version. Boris and i talked we agreed to do this together ,J.stewart remastered chapel of the chimes, and put together a live b-side and sent it to Europe, i sent $1000 to europe for the pressing, thus the waiting began, 6 months went by, 8months, a year....after mass emails from me to boris of heroine he told me "there was problems at the plant, but they were being fixed and my test presses should be arriving in the states anytime" ....6 months later, more emails to boris this time his reply was"the records have been sent and they should have already been to your house by now!"....3 months later more emails to Boris his reply" i never pressed the record, and i already sent your money back!!"

i never recieved $1000 back for the record that was never pressed but remastered. i sat with no money to put into my label because it had all been spent. and Boris was no where to be found, nor did he care to ever give me my funds back.

After talking to J.Stewart at a show in Iowa City i told him what had happened, and asked if i could release a live show i recorded to make some of my money back..he agreed and offered to help pay for the project. i declined and months later, here we are.
