the jypu split is my favorite, if we are talking track-for-track. rose of sharon is a completely amazing piece of music but clearly the high point of the disc, and in all honesty i find the vinyl format to be a hassle, even though i keep buying it.

The Kill Me Tomorrow song is "Drugged Ink" I have all the 7"s save the first with This Song Is A Mess, and I saw it on eBay a few months ago and then forgot about it... of course it ended up going for like $10 or something, that pissed me off.

the first one on ebay went for over $70 What split? This Song is a Mess? I had to get mine off ebay , but i got it for 5 dollars plus shipping. My favorite split so far is the JYPU one, and the Bunkbed one, mainly for the Bunkbed song.

the first one on ebay went for over $70 well it was pretty recently, like last two months, I'm pretty sure it went for the $10-20 range or so. I was watching it but its not in the "My eBay" section anymore so you're just going to have to trust me...

I'm really behind, I still haven’t picked up the most recent three.
This song... split varies in price, dependant on if its colour wax or just the black.
'Thanks Japan' is included on the 'Live and Loud' cd btw... the original looks like something made by an 8 year old in art class.

to be honest, a lot of the splits seem pretty sub par for xiu xiu. rose of sharon on the tsiamasai split wasn't nearly as good as the album version. helsabot is a great song, but was poorly recorded and performed. red croissant sounded like it was only half written (is that a sample from the la foret recording of rose of sharon i hear?) the banhart cover (much like the throwing muses cover) sounded tossed off. the nick cave cover was a big disappointment to me, as is this new split with dead science.
on the other hand i really dig fleshettes and the bunkbed cover, cause it sounds like some work went into the recordings. anyone feeling me?

rose of sharon on the tsiamasai split wasn't nearly as good as the album version. I liked that version better.

rose of sharon on the tsiamasai split wasn't nearly as good as the album version seriously? the split version is far superior like the above said.

I think "Juarez" is awesome... but you have to be in the right mood, I guess. The fact that Jamie doesn't sing on it might turn people off, but it's a really cool, slow-building, creepy-ass song with tons of "Xiu" atmosphere...
