this has been killing me forever seeing as its the only song that does not have any posted lyrics or guesses for lyrics anywhere. help anyone?  guesses are in parentheses "fleshettes" my father thought it was an orange i thought that it was a toy i thought it could be a gift for my son the goat greaves (for/were) his life the butcher for meat if you pass under a rainbow you will turn from a girl into a boy if you put on this false beard you can make it (to work alive) no feet, (no collar/color) whiter than white and then whiter than whiter than white (no crying/crime), no legs how will i pee? how will i defecate? if you pass under a rainbow you will turn from a girl into a boy if you put on this false beard you can make it (to work alive) |

when you google stuff about rainbows and turning from a girl into a boy, theres a news article somewhere that claims "There's an old Afghan story that says if you're a girl and you pass under a rainbow you change into a boy, or vice versa". in searches for fleshettes and military terms you can find "BEEHIVE: a direct-fire artillery round which incorporated steel darts (fleshettes), used as a primary base defense munition against ground attack" and if you look here (http://dahrjamailiraq.com/gallery/view_photo.php?set_albumName=siege_of_falluja&id=100_2566) you will find a picture of Falluja (muppet face?  men holding fleshettes. |

maybe he's talking about the women in the middle east who have to cover up everything with clothes.
"putting on a false beard" would be dressing like a man, which would make it easier to move about and leave.
i don't know. i can hear "toy" in the second line too.
