 so, this is the xiu xiu/larsen collaboration, it should be out on september 20, by important records... i heard some of these songs during a xiu xiu and larsen live in turin, some months ago. well, it was just amazing,great songs standing somewhere between pop, wave and post-rock(at least that's what i thought at the moment)...jamie's vocal parts were simply incredible, so i can't wait for this album to be out!! tracklisting should be as follows: Paw Paw Paw Paw Paw Paw Paw Minnie Mouseistic Ciao Ciautistico (Pokey In Your) Gnocchi Distorted Duck Lipstick Fair Prince Charming Birthday Song Sunday |

According to amazon.de it will be released on september the 6th.
And it is rather expensive (22€)
Found it on another site as well, here 'only' 17€.

Both groups consider their joint creative clash as a new band in itself more than just an occasional collaboration. Edited out of long and intense jam sessions, the sound of Ciautistico! is totally schizophrenic, swinging between orchestrated pop songs, almost-techno beats and minimalistic droning tracks but framed in a common melancholic mood and fronted by the inimitable James Stewart. Ciautistico! is also the first Larsen album out on Important after the critical and commercial success of their previous Play and before their forthcoming EP and full-length (with special appearances by Deathprod, Origami, Lustmord, Jarboe and Julia Ken). Xiu Xiu and Larsen are proven sellers; this collaboration will interest fans of both. XXL will continue to record and release albums on Important as a new group – this is not a one-off collaboration! Plans are being made for XXL to tour the U.S. and Europe “There is a tiny adjunct club in Seattle called the Green Room. A friend called, said Jarboe was playing and asked if I wanted to open and do a solo show. Being self-destructive, I am of course a huge Swans fan, so it was on. When I got there luck descended and unbeknownst to me, Larsen was playing on the bill as well…when Larsen played and melted my brain & heart, I felt like a human. We traded records and promised to stay in touch…[after playing shows together in Torino, Genova, Vienna, and the Balkans] we walked into the huge, gray Larsen studio and were at home. For 11 days there was a ritual: at night write a song, at 2:00 pm the next day record and sketch the mix, go to dinner, drink too much wine, go back and write another song. Somehow this system worked, and in a fortnight we made a whole record from dust. We decided that at a show we were playing together, we would learn some of these songs and play them interspersed between the Larsen set and the Xiu Xiu set…with the wave of a Hawaiian shirt and a comically misunderstood cue on my part, it became a miracle…we all felt as if we had survived our gamble and given the best we had, and it seemed like the people there got something from it.” – James Stewart, Xiu Xiu “Xiu Xiu are the undisputed masters of introspective, creepy noise-pop.” – Pop Matters “It is clear that Larsen and Xiu Xiu have a common feeling and the result is, to say the least, amazing.
