I think if I gota tatoo, it would probably be one of Jamie's signing tidbits of wisdom. Something like getting a bible passage tatooed, just a heck of alot more interesting.

i'm still waiting for jamie to give me this photo from a promise. i'm guessing he's already mailed it, or perhaps he'll give it to me in person in toronto.

john, that is an amazing tattoo. it looks a lot better than i imagined!
and once i get mine done and healed, i'll definitely post pictures. i am excited.

i contacted joe stewart and asked him if he had any interesting pieces that hadn't been put out yet/ anything i had seen but hadn't considered.... he sent me a bunch of pics, and the bird was pretty much close to this, with the blood going downwards rather than to the right... i told him the size i wanted to do it, so he took out some detail, and generally cleaned it up...
as for the way "xiu xiu" is written... i messed around with that one myself and couldn't figure out anything that would look right, so i asked joe if he had anything, and suggested what i wanted, and he came up with a few options... for such a small tattoo, i put joe through a lot of bullshit, but he was really cool
i know, my friends all bug me about my happy trail, but i hate it when guys shave too much... it looks weird... i trim, but i'm rather hairy

I feel less alone knowing that other people have/are getting xiu xiu tattoos. My friends tell me that it's a fucking stupid idea because I may not like Xiu Xiu when I'm older. But I know the truth: they'll always be in my heart. And on my skin.
And they say it's stupid to put it in my wrist, because it's hard to cover for job interviews and such. I'll just wear a watch or long sleeves. The healing process should be nice. People will probably I slit my wrist and have it bandaged up.

At one point, I had wanted to get a panel from the Kinfe Play album insert on my back, but I'm deathly afraid of needles, so maybe I'll get a temp Xiu Xiu tatoo. Lets hear it for being a sissy!

People will probably I slit my wrist and have it bandaged up. actually, you're not supposed to cover tattoos while they heal; it fucks them up... i actually covered mine due to the awkward location, and i had to have it touched up a lot more than it should have needed |

ive been waiting to find a unique picture of the scales (because im libra) for my tattoo, and i have decided to use the ones on the new xiu xiu shirt, the brown one. probably will get the scales on the underside of my right arm.

One of my counselors at camp in Jr High had just gotten a tattoo on each of his forearms, and he had them bandaged up. Maybe camp rules? He did put some lotion on them - maybe an antiseptic? I don't know much about the tattoo process. My friend wants to get the geisha from the cover of the Decemberists Billy Liar single on his shoulder. We may just get our tats together. God knows I'll need the support. I'm a big pussy when it comes to stuff like that. |
