last night after xiu xiu was finished playing, i saw a fan take a mallet off of the stage while jamie and caralee were off somewhere else. i walked over and informed them that it was pretty rude considering they had to tour with that equipment and that they should put it back, which they did.
i realize that i was probably a pretty gigantic buzzkill for them, but i just can't comprehend the idea of stealing something from people that are obviously a source of things you enjoy... i don't know.

there's material here for a bit of sporting fun--like, cops and robbers, one big game following the xiu across the heartland. every show, the 'robbers' try to steal a mallet, and the 'cops' try to stop them. imagine the fun! it would revolutionize the concert-going experience.
no real guns or anything, tho.

i hope you people are taking this seriously. if not, we run the risk of ten kids showing up to play robber, with no cops to combat them. which means MALLETS WILL BE TAKEN! so please, for the love of mallets, pick teams and flip a coin to settle the shirts and skins dilemma.
