i think it would be absolutely dreadful for them to cover this song--covering radiohead is like remaking citizen kane--pointless

yea, but the way hollywood is going these days im sure there will be a new version of citizen kane any time now..... idiots.
'motion picture soundtrack' would be ok, though id imagine something more like um.. 'knifes out', or 'i might be wrong' i guess i sense that xiu xiu would be more amnesiac-ish and less kid a-ish

with the recent news that Hollywood is going to be remaking The Wicker Man, i'm almost positive that a "new" Citizen Kane is probably in the works. Spielberg is on an Orson Welles kick lately so they'll probably get him to direct.
i agree with xiu xiu being more amnesiac-ish so if i had to pick a song for them to do it would be pulk/pull revolving doors. very interesting to hear kind of like in that devendra doing support our troops way.

am i the only one who just can't imagine a xiu xiu cover of radiohead? i mean, considering the covers they've done so far, i just cannot imagine something so "indie" and contemporary. the banhart cover thing makes sense, but only because they toured together, and they're covering each other's work... the other three covers (not including ibopa/xitsj songs covered by xiu xiu) have been somewhat more "classics"...
