so my friend matt says that the underlying music to apistat commander is almost identical to music in perhaps final fantasy IV.....kane's goodbye or something or other. but he's not sure. and i have no idea.
any idea if it's from any video game?

Was anyone able to follow up and find out what video game song this came from? I browsed through a site with the FFIV soundtrack and heard a few songs that sounded vaguely like it, but not terribly close, I couldn't find a song named after Kain though.

i've always thought that 'pink city' sounded a lot like the soundtrack to f-zero, the first one for SNES

Were you the one who posted that on the Xiu Xiu Livejournal community? Ever since I first heard Pink City I thought it sounded so familiar and it was driving me crazy then I read that and it hit me.
