does anyone have a practical method of converting digital video (from a show) onto dvd. I have a sony digital 8 camera. (this is in regards to a live 2005 xiu xiu show).
maybe someone wants to volunteer to produce this?..?? i have video and accompanying MD recording. thanks, and in the meantime, i'll do some research on my own.

You'll want something like Adobe Premiere / Final Cut Pro to edit the video (and replace the audio with the MD recording). After you have the individual clips edited, then you'll want something like Adobe Encore DVD to author the DVD.
If you'd like, I'd be willing to produce the DVD if it is not something you are interested in doing yourself or you just don't have the time.

I've made a few concert DVD's, sourced from MiniDV video mixed with either DAT or Minidisc audio. I just finished a Bright Eyes DVD from January. Email me, I can do this for you. terryquinto@yahoo.com.
In exchange I'll give you a few of the shows I've recorded over the years. Let me know.

wolfpac and terry, thanks so much for your generous offerings. I am going to try to work on the video myself, but if I give up or encounter some issues, I may take you up on your offers. Thanks again
