I heard on a local radio spot that Jamie Stewart has aids. This has erupted into a lot of controversy between music extraordinaires in Iowa City. Can anyone confirm or deny this statement that Jamie Stewart in fact has AIDS?

Um, no AIDS for Jamie............... WHo cares anyways if he did!!!! He did work with AIDS patients and writes songs about it........... Does this mean that next people are going to start asking if he plays games with rabbits?

No, that is not the point. I was just trying to put to rest something that needed to be put asleep. It does not matter if he has AIDS or not at all, it's just the fact that there was controversy and rumors being spread about it

i have two friends who went to 2 different xiu xiu shows last year, and at the shows jamie stewart told the audience that he had AIDS and was touring til he dies. he tours every night.
what do you crybabies think of that?

i do not have aids nor have i ever told anyone that i did. i have been amazingly afraid that i have.
the song hives hives was about a time in my life when i was most afraid of being hiv+, when that time ended it became a tribute to a man named patrick quelland and now is about AIDS in Southern Africa. it can be about whatever it needs to beor what someone needs it to be, but it NOT about that i am HIV+.

when you opened the show with hives hives in NYC it was about my former boyfriend of one year calling me to tell me that he was HIV+.
it hit me rather hard.
