First off, the show in Minneapolis was amazing. This was the first time seeing Xiu Xiu live, and I must say, they are even better live. I would have to say it was one of the best shows I've ever gone to.
Second, I saw people taking pictures. Was anyone at the Minneapolis show who took pictures that they could share with me? Anyone record the show?

This was the closest show to me (but still 5 hrs) and I wanted to go more than life itself
Today's been a depressing day thinking about how great of a time I -could- have had last night.
Any stories or pictures from this show?

Thanks for mentioning the setlist issue. I meant to state that in my original post, as well.
Yeah, I agree. Very intense. It was so quiet during "Ale" that I felt extremely awkward even smoking because of the little sound that I could possibly make.

and if anyone has a setlist, please post it! i can NEVER remember setlists. i always open a new text message on my phone and write the setlist in there during the show, but then again, i'm probably more OCD than most

i can't do that because then i'm stressing about writing it down on my very annoying phone rather than enjoying the music

PS my cousin and i took some pictures but they are on her camera, i will post them when i get them... but we were on the raised bit of the venue behind the partition on the left side nearest the door so we could see, but it didn't make for great pictures.

petroldarling--Iwas standing by the dancing folks (whom I know). so I was right near you.
it was such a small venue, which made the show great.

I was there too, it was the first concert i've been stoned too and i had a blast, i just couldn't get over the fact how overly repeticious Vox Vermillion and The Dead Science were, but or was that just me?

I've seen Xiu Xiu in Minneapolis 3 times now. The first and third time (the third, of course, being this recent one you are speaking of) were really good but the second one was absolutely wonderful. GREAT selection of songs. I think I may have to say that you have't seen Xiu Xiu live until you've seen the new live version of Jennifer Lopez.
It's fun to see Xiu Xiu multiple times for many reasons (in other words, next time they come, go see them again!) a.) I don't know if you remember this but their equipment was ripped off a couple years ago so now everytime they come to town there's more and more fun little gizmos and instruments they use. b.) Even with the same equipment, they change their arrangements of various songs so you can hear the same songs played multiple times and hear different versions. As I said, I've seen them 3 times, each set they played Fabulous Muscles differently. Great fun! c.) I don't think they know what an "off night" is. Maybe I've just been there for the good'ns but they've all been pretty solid.
As for the new songs they played at the show, they're fun to hear but create an even bigger anticipation for the new album. When I saw them the first time, Fabulous Muscles hadn't been released yet. I heard new songs (no longer new) and figured they'd sound pretty close to that on the album. Wrong! Things change!
Good stuff!
