its not that i think they're going to get popular either. deffinetly not. and its not like the music is losing its novelty.
i just feel like good things dont last forever.

of course. its a moot point that others will feel this way. but what is the real issue here. recycled songs? i like the IBOPA version of Hives.... but to me it has nothing on Hives Hives.

I for one have found it refreshing to find a band / artist who is willing to reinvent, and "cover" themselves. to get new sounds out of a song.

ok, so i didn't really address what you were saying. but i fail to see how you drawing a line in the sand and saying that the time to stop is now, because xiu xiu have had a lot of good releases, and are releasing at a high rate, so they have a high chance of making bad music in the not too near future.

i mean, yes the chance is there. but is that in itself reason enough to stop making music? even if the chances are elevated, as im sure your argument supposes?

and will "running themselves into the ground" effect the quality of the music that you like that they have recorded at the moment?

p.s. hand made artwork and LPs!! we could only hope for bands with hearts of this calibre.

im sorta in agreeance. i would rather have great memory's of this band, and have them break up at their creative height. so far they havent done anything wrong, but ( i feel) they need to slow down.

what makes people think they know what type of person jamie is? hopefully your not basing this on some music he made, or a few live performances.
