i taped tonight's show at the smith campus center on my mp3 player. it doesn't sound quite as good as the recording i got at the echo, but i got the entire show... however, it's all in one giant mp3... can anyone point me in the direction of a good free program that will allow me to edit the mp3's into individual tracks/edit out all the excess stuff? thanks

there's cool edit pro and sound forge but i don't know if they're free, you can get hacked versions out there maybe the demo versions will work
otherwise i can do it: slsk: barbara_h

Most tapers use a program called CDWave. It's free...

I know you can download a full trial version of sony sound forge for 30 days. i've used that. I think you have to work in real time, but it's bare bones editing for cutting up tracks, fixing EQs, etc.
