a city like chicago for example, how many people come out to see jamie? even though ive been a fan forever, i have zero concept of xiu xiu's popularity.

it depends on the show/venue, etc. in the california area, they generally pack the smell in los angeles, but koo's in long beach generally draws a smaller crowd, even though the two venues are maybe half an hour from each other, and koo's is much smaller
if you can pre-order tickets, it might be advisable, but i usually just show up early and catch the opening acts, and i've never missed a show because it sold out, although i have been at a few that did

I did a xiu xiu show here in missoula montana this last july and by golly nearly 90 people showed at $6 a ticket...and that's montana
